Electronic Cigarettes
The electronic cigarette or e-cigarette is a battery operated nicotine vapour inhaler device.
Due to insufficient evidence on both the safety and efficacy of e-cigarettes as cessation/nicotine maintenance NHS Lanarkshire has prohibited use of e-cigarettes within NHS Lanarkshire premises and grounds.
This position will be reviewed as evidence and national guidance becomes available.
