There are various ways of ordering your repeat medication which are detailed below:
Follow the link on the home page to our online services. This is the recommended method of ordering your repeat medication as it links into your patient record. You can view medications approved for repeat and check the progress of your order. You can also book routine appointments using online services.
When you collect your medication from the pharmacy, they will give you a slip which has your repeat medications on it. You should tick the items you will require and either hand the slip in to Graeme Pharmacy, or put it in the ‘Repeat Prescription’ box at the health centre. You will find this box located in the reception area at the window. Completed prescriptions can be requested to go directly to Graeme Pharmacy or to be collected at the health centre. If you have lost your repeat slip and wish to request a repeat of medication from the doctor, please write your name, address, date of birth, the name of the medication(s) you require clearly on a piece of paper and put it in the ‘Repeat Prescription’ box at the health centre. Please also write whether you wish to collect your prescription from the health centre or from Graeme Pharmacy.
To maintain patient safety, we are unable to accept requests by telephone.
Please always allow two working days before you collect your prescription (bearing in mind we are closed at the weekends).
If an item requested is not on repeat it can take longer than 2 working days to process.
We no longer operate a mandate where you can request all your prescriptions to go to the pharmacy. You must annotate where you wish to collect your prescription on each request. If you do not mark your prescription with instructions on where you wish to collect it, the prescription will be retained at the health centre for collection.
Please do not order your repeat medication early. If you are on 2 monthly repeats you should not make a further request more than two weeks in advance and one week in advance for monthly repeats. If you have a specific reason for requesting early please provide as much details as possible to allow your request to be considered.
When on holiday or living temporary outside the practice area
If you are staying outside the practice area for holidays, work etc, we are unable to send prescriptions by post/email/fax. You should register with a practice as a temporary resident and request the medication. The practice will contact us to confirm what medication you are currently being prescribed. Alternatively depending on your location some pharmacies may be able to provide the medication for you.
